League of their own

Staff and students at Meopham School are celebrating the fact that they are the highest performing non-selective High School in Kent. The confirmation has come from the official Department for Education School Performance Tables which were released today.

Meopham School has achieved a Progress 8 score of 0.48, which is significantly above the national average (set at ‘0.0’). This score places the school first amongst all schools in the local area of Gravesham, including the local Grammar Schools.

With this impressive positive progress 8 score, Meopham School are now positioned in the top 5% of all 4,495 state schools in the country.

Headteacher, Suzanne Dickinson, said, “we are delighted to have our outstanding 2016 examination outcomes in the Provisional 2016 Performance Tables. This is such a positive endorsement of the high standards which exist at our school.”

The past week, Meopham School, like all of Swale Academies Trust secondary schools, have been running open mornings to prospective students and parents.

The mornings have been particularly popular. They provide both students and parents an opportunity to see the school in the best light.
