Leadership Development

NPQML and NPQSL

The Westlands Teaching School Alliance has paired up with LLSE and are now able to offer National College accredited qualifications. Working in close partnership we are able to offer both courses at significantly reduced rates thanks to funding from KAH (Kent Association of Headteachers).

The variety of organisations, expertise and specialist knowledge within the Westlands Teaching School Alliance means we can tailor our programmes to meet the differing needs of both primary and secondary schools - in differing economic contexts, in both rural and urban areas.

Currently, these are grouped into two levels:

  • Level 1 National Professional Qualification for Middle Leaders (NPQML)
  • Level 2 National Professional Qualification for Senior Leaders (NPQSL)

Internships

In conjunction with LLSE (Leadership Learning South East), the Westlands Teaching School Alliance is now offering to host colleagues who are looking to undertake training in school leadership.  As an ever growing alliance of primary and secondary schools we are able to offer candidates a vast and varied environment. Candidates interested should contact LLSE directly with an idea of a specific area of school leadership / school improvement for their internship.
